Christmas at Little Beach Street Bakery
By Jenny Colgan
First published in 2016

What is the book about
It’s Christmas in the Cornish coastal village of Mount Polbearne – a time for family, friends and feasting
Polly Waterford loves running the Little Beach Street Bakery and the festive season always inspires her to bake something extra special for the village residents. In fact, the only thing she loves more is curling up with her gorgeous boyfriend, Huckle. This Christmas should be their best one yet, but life doesn’t always go to plan…
When Polly’s best friend Kerensa turns up with a secret that threatens the life that Polly and Huckle have built together, the future begins to look uncertain. Then a face from Polly’s past reappears and things become even more complicated. Polly can usually find solace in baking but she has a feeling that’s not going to be enough this time. Can she get things back on track so that everyone has a merry Christmas?
What I rate it
5/5!
My thoughts on “Christmas time at Little Beach Street Bakery”
It was my first ever time reading a book by Jenny Colgan and I loved it! It took me by surprise to find out it was the LAST book out of a trilogy but even so I don’t think it made a huge difference and I still loved the book and will definitely be getting the other two books!
The story line progressed nicely, not too slow but not too fast either! You really get to emphasise with the characters and feel like you’re actually there living in the story. It was one of those books that I just couldn’t put down! It wasn’t overly Christmassy which I liked, it had other underlying stories within it which makes it a much more complex but interesting read.
I would highly recommend this book and this author!
Thank you for reading today’s post! Hope you enjoyed my first ever book review! If you would like to see more then please let me know in the comments!

I’ve seen this book on the shelves and I have been so tempted to buy it, but I haven’t because I don’t think I have the time to read it before Christmas is over and I don’t think it’s a book I could read after Christmas haha!
Such a great review though! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

It’s not overly Christmassy so I honestly wouldn’t worry about not finishing it before Christmas!
