Review: Dr Botanicals Tropical Invigorating cream

Hey guys,

I haven’t done a review in SO long I’ve really missed doing them but don’t worry I have plenty more reviews coming your way soon. All views are my own and are 100% honest.

Today I am reviewing Dr Botanicals Tropical Invigorating cream. Firstly, the packaging itself is a huge selling point, so aesthetically pleasing. So if you are one of those people who like to have all their products looking pretty on the shelves this cream would fit right in!

I LOVE this cream, I have nothing bad to say about it! It has a pleasant yet subtle smell which isn’t overpowering once on your face. You only need to use a small amount and it goes far! This means good value for money which is what we all love, right?!

I have been using the cream for about 3 weeks now and have noticed a huge difference in my skin, as it’s gotten colder my skin normally dries out and gets sore and irritable. However, thanks to this cream my skin is soft and as moisturised as ever!

It’s also cruelty free and vegan! What’s not to love?

I would rate this cream 10/10 and would highly recommend for you to try it!

Thank you for reading today’s review! I hope you have enjoyed it!

My Skincare Routine

Hi guys,

I hope you’ve all had a good Monday and have a good rest of your week!

Today I’m doing a blog post on my current skincare routine, I say current as I’m pretty sure it’ll change within a month.

Skincare is subject to skin type so in order for you to know if these products may be of benefit to you it’s probably best I disclose my skin type… (drum roll please)… dry and sensitive mostly but in the summer it can get oily.

I would also like to apologise in advance for the quality of the photographs as the lighting was awful (ugh English weather) and I couldn’t lay the bottles flat as they wouldn’t stop rolling…

The order in which I do my skincare routine are as follows:

  1. Cleanse/wash
  2. Tone
  3. Spot cream/gel
  4. Serum
  5. Eye cream
  6. Moisturiser
  7. Oil
  8. Primer…..makeup as usual.

My morning and afternoon skincare routines are different.

In the morning I usually cleanse my face using The Body Shops’ Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser.

Then before I leave for work I use Dr Botanicals ‘Tropical Invigorating Cream’ duo moisturiser.

However in the afternoon after my shower/bath I will do a longer skincare routine.

First I wash my face using The Body Shops’ Tea Tree Skin Clearing FacialWash.

Then I use a cotton pad to apply The Body Shops’ Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner on my face and neck.

After this I apply LUSHs ‘Grease Lightning’ spot treatment gel over any blemishes I have on my face.

Check out my review here.

Then use The Body Shops’ Vitamin C Skin Reviver Instant Smoother and spread this over my T-zones. (Also works as a great primer)

Then I use The Body Shops’ Vitamin E Eye Cream, I apply this on my eyelid and underneath them.

After the eye cream has dried I then apply the Dr Botanicals ‘Tropical Invigorating Cream’ duo moisturiser again.

When that’s soaked into my skin I then apply The Body Shops’ Tea Tree Oil onto my T-zones and gently pat it down using two fingers.

That’s my skin routine almost finished!

Once/twice a week (depending on how many days I wear makeup) I exfoliate my face using The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub.

I also use face masks 3 days a week, I normally do 2 days of day masks and one sleeping mask.

I use L’Oreal Pure Clay masks as a day mask.

I use two different sleeping masks, alternatively to how my skin is.

If my skin is feeling dry I use The dr Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask. Check out its review here

If I have a few blemishes/spots I use The Body Shops’ Tea Tree Anti-imperfection Night Mask.

That’s a wrap!

A full review of The Body Shops’ Tea Tree range will be posted soon!

Thank you all so much for reading! I hope it’s been useful and please leave a comment what your favourite part of your skincare routine is.

Review: Dr Botanicals Pomegranate superfood sleeping mask

Hey guys,

Hope you’ve all had a good Monday! Today’s post is a review on Dr Botanical’s Pomegranate superfood sleeping mask.

This is the packaging that it came in which I think is adorable, but hey I’m easily amused.

this face mask is 100% vegan and cruelty free! So that’s a bonus.

This is an overnight mask, you’re supposed to apply a thin layer onto your skin and leave it to dry into your skin. You can physically see this happen as when you first apply it, it is a white creamy consistency and then within 10 minutes it fades and sinks into the skin.

It contains pomegranate extract which is a strong antioxidant and aims to smooth and brighten the skin. It also contains almond oil which is rich in fatty acids (doesn’t sound appealing but it does good!) these hydrate and nourish the skin.

I recommend to use it 3 times a week to notice a difference!

My overall opinion on this face mask is good! It hasn’t got a strong/harsh scent, easy and convenient to use (sleeping masks always appeal to the lazy part of me) and it left my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed!

Thank you so much for reading this post! I hope you all have a lovely week.

Feel free to comment your holy grail face masks!
